1966 : Il travaille à Richmond en tant que mécanicien puis à Aston Jonction pour finalement toucher au domaine de la carrosserie à Upton. He works as a mechanic in Richmond and then in Aston Jonction to finally rub shoulders with body work in Upton.
1970 à 1973 : Il est enseignant à l’école de mécanique de Trois-Rivières. He is a teacher at the mechanical school in Trois-Rivières.
1971 : Entre temps, Jean-Guy Camirand ouvre un petit atelier de carrosserie et de débosselage général à Saint-Léonard-d’Aston. À l’automne de cette même année, l’édifice est malheureusement incendié au cours de travaux effectués sur une voiture. 1971 à 1973 : Construction d’un atelier de 2 000 pi² qui inclut une station-service Irving au 616, route 155, toujours dans la petite municipalité de Saint-Léonard-d’Aston. Le 27 août 1973, Jean-Guy Camirand vend l’édifice à Monsieur Sylvio Jutras qui en prend possession le 30 septembre de la même année. C’est à cet endroit, en 1973, que Jean-Guy Camirand vend sa première BMW, modèle 2002, année 1972, à son frère Florent Camirand. A 2,000 ft² shop is built and includes an Irving gas station located at 616, 155 Road, also in the small town of Saint-Léonard-d’Aston. Le Carrossier enr. voit le jour avec, à son emploi, 2 mécaniciens en plus de son propriétaire visionnaire. De fil en aiguille, le jeune de 28 ans trouve sa voie en se spécialisant dans la réparation de voitures allemandes, soit les BMW, marque exotique qui le passionne au plus haut point. Dans ces années, le constructeur allemand n’a sur le marché que 2 modèles : la BMW 2002 et la Bavaria. La deuxième BMW vendue par Jean-Guy Camirand est une Bavaria de couleur argent à un anglophone de Toronto au montant de 3 600 $. Ce dernier a repéré le petit garage à partir d’une publicité parue dans le Journal de Montréal. C’est à partir de ce moment que le rêve de Jean-Guy Camirand prend réellement forme et qu’il se spécialise dans la revente de voitures allemandes de marque BMW, et ce, dans un petit village de 2 600 âmes situé au centre du Québec. 2002 : En chevauchant deux carrières soit celle de pilote automobile avec quelques championnats en arrière-scène et de jeune homme d’affaires, le fils de Jean-Guy Camirand, Marc-Antoine Camirand, joint l’équipe des Productions. En tant que préposé aux pièces, il a pour objectif de prendre éventuellement la relève de l’entreprise. Des rénovations importantes sont apportées à l’usine afin d’offrir un environnement des plus agréables tant aux clients qu’aux employés. Nouveaux objectifs pour les Productions : conquérir le créneau des Mini Cooper d’occasion, se spécialiser dans le remplacement de pièces de châssis d’aluminium et prendre le virage du tuning et de la performance. The Productions has new goals: conquer the second-hand Mini Cooper market, get an expertise in changing parts of aluminium frames and take the tuning and performance turn.
